If the adults have signature cocktails during a party why can’t the kids? This drink has a warm and fresh fruity flavor to it. The kids will love it when you add the soda in as it looks like a sparkling drink fit for celebrating the New Years or really any party.


Prep: 5 minutes

Cook: 12 minutes + Cooling

Makes: 10 cups


Ingredients:

6 cups Water

2 1/2 cups Strawberries, can be frozen or fresh

2 cups Sugar

10 Whole Cloves

1/4 tsp Ground Cardamon (Substitute: 1/8 tsp Freshly Ground Nutmeg)

1 Orange, peeled

1 Vanilla Bean, slice length wise

2 cups Orange Juice

2 cups Club Soda (Substitute: Lemon Lime Soda)

Fresh Strawberries, garnish


Directions:

Place a large sauce pan over high heat and add in the water, strawberries, sugar, whole cloves, ground cardamon, orange peel and vanilla bean; stir to combine. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.  Strain the liquid out and cool in the fridge. 


After juice has cooled add into a pitcher along with orange juice and club soda. Serve in a fancy glass and garnish with a strawberry, enjoy!
