Granola bars are the perfect breakfast to get your day going or a snack to get you through the afternoon. Use this basic recipe and make it your own by adding your favorite dried fruits, nuts and much more.

Bake: 35 minutes

Cool: 2 hours


Ingredients:

2 1/2 cups Old Fashion Oats

1 cup Peanuts

3 tbsp Butter, + more for greasing baking dish

1/4 cup Brown Sugar

1/2 cup Honey

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

2 tbsp Peanut Butter

1/8 tsp Salt

1/2 cup Chocolate Chips

1/2 cup Yogurt Covered Raisins


Directions: 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.In a large bowl mix together the oats and peanuts. Lay them out onto a baking sheet and toast them in the oven for 10 minutes.In a sauce pan over medium heat add in butter, brown sugar and honey. Stir until sugar has dissolved which will take about 7 minutes. Turn the heat to low and add in the vanilla extract, peanut butter and salt, stir to combine. Stir toasted oats and peanuts in a large bowl, along with chocolate chips and yogurt covered raisins. Carefully stir in the sugar-honey mixture. Pour granola into a pre greased baking dish (13x9) and use the back of a large spoon to make an even layer. Lower the temperature of the oven to 300 degrees and place the granola baking dish into oven. Bake for 25 minutes. Allow for granola to cool at least 2 hours before cutting into bar size. Enjoy!
