2 lbs. Russet Potatoes, peeled and chopped

2 tbsp Salt (for water)

5 tbsp Butter

1/2 cup Heavy Cream 

1 1/2 tsp Salt

1 tsp Pepper


Heat a large pot of water over high heat and bring to a boil. Once the water is boiling add in the potatoes along with the salt and stir; the salt will help flavor the potatoes. Boil for 20 minutes or until fork tender. After potatoes become tender drain them well; then take a sieve, potato ricer or food mill and push the potatoes through. (This will make them nice and creamy) Stir in the butter and 1/4 cup of heavy cream to start. If you find the potatoes need to be creamier slowing add in more heavy cream until desired creaminess is reached. Season with salt and pepper to taste, serve the potatoes with our HOMEMADE GRAVY and enjoy!
