Peanut butter blossom cookies are a staple during the holidays. The hershey kiss in center of the peanut butter cookie is the perfect holiday cookie.


Makes: 40
Prep: 15 minutes
Cook: 10-12 minutes


Ingredients:
½ cup shortening
½ cup creamy peanut butter
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbls milk
1 ¾ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
Sugar, for rolling
40 Hershey kisses


Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a bowl combine the shortening,
peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar and cream together with a mixer. Then add in the egg, vanilla extract and milk then beat together. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.

Take the dough and form a 1-inch round ball then toss in a bowl of sugar and place on a baking sheet. Repeat the process with all of the dough. Then bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

After removing the cookies from the oven place 1 Hershey kiss into each cookie pushing halfway down. Serve and Enjoy!
