Roasted Butternut Squash isn't a side dish you need to just order at the restaurants, it's easy enough to make at home. Enjoy this recipe that also has my Grandma's secret trick!

Serves: 4

Prep: 5 minutes

Cook: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

1 butternut squash

3 tbls butter

¼ cup brown sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cut butternut squash in half and clean out the seeds. In a sauce pan combine the butter and brown sugar on a medium heat until well combined.

Brush the butter and brown sugar mixture over the butternut squash and place flesh side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cook for 40 minutes or until squash is tender and slightly brown over top. (Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the butternut squash.)

*Grandma Luken’s Tip: Rather than using the butter and brown sugar replace with ¼-½ cup of maple syrup.
