Ripped strawberries with fresh lemonade makes for the perfect summer beverage.
Serves: 6 cups

2 cups Water
1 cup Sugar
1 Lemon, peeled
1 cup Lemon Juice (6-7 lemons)
2 cups Strawberries, hulled and sliced
3 cups Club Soda or Sparkling Water
1 cup vodka, optional
Directions:In a sauce pan over medium-high heat add in the water and sugar. Stir often until the sugar has dissolved, which makes a simple syrup. Add in the peel of 1 lemon and 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, then strain into a pitcher. (Make sure your liquid isn’t too hot if you’re adding it into a glass pitcher, it will break.)Place strawberries into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add the strawberries into the pitcher and stir to combine. Place in the refrigerator to chill. Right before serving add in the club soda or sparkling water (and vodka, optional.) Serve with some mint, macerated strawberries and/or lemon wheel for garnish. Enjoy!
